Stan Fagerstrom

We’ve asked Stan Fagerstrom to join us as a columnist. We had good reasons for making that decision. Stan, you see, has been fishing and writing about it for more than a half century. At one time or another his columns and features have appeared in just about all of the nation’s major outdoor magazines. He was one of the pioneers of Pacific Northwest bass fishing. No one in the far-western United States has written more about bass fishing than Stan has.

He is equally well known internationally as a trick & accuracy caster. Over the past 50 years he has appeared in major outdoor shows from Birmingham to Brazil and from Tulsa to Tokyo. Few, if any, have spent as much time as Stan has teaching anglers how to perfect their casting skills.

Stan has received numerous awards during his career. Several years ago he was inducted into the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. He is also a past winner of the National Professional Anglers Association’s annual achievement award. Last year he was one of the nominees for the Professional Bass Fishing Hall of Fame. He is the author of several books on fishing and has produced two how-to casting videos.

He has appeared on countless television and radio programs around the United States and in a number of foreign lands.
